Higher Education Commission of Pakistan announced a fully-funded scholarship for Gilgit Baltistan students who aspire to pursue higher studies in Pakistani public universities recognized by HEC.
Scholarship covers, tuition fee, hostel, and other charges amounting to Rs240,000 per year. It also includes Rs 25,000 stipend and Rs 30,000 book allowance for selected students.
Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores in the aptitude test conducted by HEC. It is mandatory for candidates to get a minimum of 50 percent score on the test. Students already enrolled in a bachelor’s program for one year can also avail this scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria for the scholarship is mentioned below:
- Students must have Gilgit Baltistan Domicile.
- Completion of HSSC and SSC.
- Age limit is 22 years.
- Meet HEC and Bs criteria for Admissions.
- Student availing any other HEC / Government scholarships cannot apply for this scholarship.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will be shortlisted based on HEC Aptitude test score and Academic Credentials as per following formula.
- SSC 10%
- HSSC 40%
- HEC Aptitude Test 50%
