Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Mega Lecture Technology (Private) Limited (trading as Mega Lecture, "we") collects through megalecture.com and our related sites, why, how it is stored and used, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, username and password (stored encrypted) when you create an account, or your name and email from Google or Facebook if you sign in with them.
• Order and billing details: name, phone number, email, the items bought, amounts and payment status.
• Enquiries and demo bookings: the name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, country, level and subject you give us in our forms, and messages you send us by WhatsApp or email.
• Learning activity: course progress, and the answers and scores from practice tests, so that we can show your progress.
• Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools (see section 6).

2. Payment information

Card and mobile wallet payments are made on the secure page of the payment provider (for example JazzCash or Bank Alfalah). Your card number, PIN and wallet credentials go directly to that provider and are never seen or stored by us. We only receive the result of the payment and its reference number.

3. How we use it

• to give you access to courses and arrange your classes;
• to process payments, refunds and invoices;
• to reply to your enquiries and follow up on demo class requests;
• to send messages about your orders and classes;
• to keep the site secure and stop fraud and spam;
• to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to these purposes.

4. Who we share it with

Only with services that help us run Mega Lecture, and only what they need:

• payment providers, to take and confirm payments;
• our website host, and our email and customer-management tools, which store enquiries and messages for us;
• the teacher or coordinator assigned to your classes;
• Google Analytics, for anonymous usage statistics;
• authorities, where the law requires it.

5. How we store and protect it

Your information is stored on secure servers and the site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access is limited to staff who need it for their work. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and other information only for as long as needed for the purposes above.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and measure site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site, such as checkout, need them to work.

7. Students under 18

Many of our students are under 18. We ask that a parent or guardian is involved when classes are arranged and paid for, and we only use a student's information to teach them.

8. Your choices

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (except records we must keep by law). You can stop marketing messages at any time by telling us. Write to megalecture@gmail.com.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
