The post covid world has unveiled a new phenomenon of virtual academies. A concept that would have been looked down upon a few years back. The convenience can be understood from the fact that there is no need to travel and education has become more accessible to people. The entire concept of commuting for education and keeping up with the rest of the class was one of the drawbacks that virtual academies have effectively dealt with, they provide self-paced learning that makes it more effective for the students. To cater to the needs of students of various kinds, there have been multiple resources available on multiple subjects within a single platform.
New virtual academies will not have easy sailing in the market. There is rigorous competition present within the virtual market as well as competition from the physical mode of education. With the covid-19 restrictions easing and things getting back to normal, people are moving back to the physical mode of education. The major task that is in front of these online learning platforms is to retain the customers despite the presence of physical education and move the student to be fully reliant on their platforms. Khan Academy is the biggest educational platform in the market and the biggest challenge for the new and upcoming platforms as well as those which have been in the market to prevent their customers from switching over to Khan Academy. A difficult task nonetheless for virtual academies, but it is achievable through providing quality teachers and quality education to the students
